EMPIRE
OF WIND

This self-initiated project acts as both a piece of visual storytelling as well as an expose on Hong Kong’s expatriate community. It juxtaposes the lives of Hong Kong’s foreign aristocracy with the harrowing lives of ordinary struggling locals. Inspired by my own experiences being involved in Hong Kong’s British community, It creates a compelling narrative that examines themes of friendship, lost, love and childhood as well as commentary on inter-generational trauma and British colonialism.
